The stems of Green Lion arch outwards at the top, like fountain of water. It has a fresh green colour – a lighter green compared to other Fargesia. Will tolerate shaded conditions. Can be used as an understorey plant. Leaves will curl if subjected to too much afternoon sun. Morning sun is the ideal amount of light for this variety.
