Clematis Taiga

Clematis florida Taiga is a new variety from Japan with unique flowers and an extended flowering period.

The violet blooms shift through three stages as they age:

Stage one –  Angular and pale green rolled petals begin to unfurl from the central bud.

Stage two – Petals open out to reveal the deep violet colour, while the central bud remains light green.

Stage three – Petals continue to open out from the bud, producing a dense, violet flower with pale green tips.

Taiga can be left to trail or can be supported pm a trellis or structure.
